Ghode Jatra

      Ghode Jatra     Ghode Jatra is one of the annual festivals of Nepal which is basically celebrated in Kathmandu - Tudikhel. The word Ghoda refers to horse and Jatra means festival , so ghode Jatra is the festival of horses. Ghode Jatra is celebrated in the month of March - April. On the day of ghode Jatra Nepal Army performs various acts by riding horse, horse racing, horse parade, various performances can be seen in Kathmandu - Tudikhel ground. Public holiday is given in this day where most of the governmental office remains closed. "It is said that Gurumapa  - one of the demons used in live in Kathmandu and the kids started disappearing day by day which was believed to be because of Gurumapa so people tried various ways to scare Gurumapa but nothing could scare him and once people chased him upto Tudikhel ground where many horses ran towards Gurumapa which injured him and he finally got scared and ran away so Jhode Jatra was believed to be started since then".  During

Religions




Religion is a cultural aspect of societies which is  design by beliefs, faith ,practices  that is related to humanity by spiritual believes, supernatural, faith on god and goodness and so on . However there isn't any particular reason or any definition of why religions were formed.

In the world there are some major religions they are :

  1. Hinduism 

  2. Buddhism 

  3. Christianity 

  4. Islamic 

Though we could find a lots of religion in the world, they have their own belief, practices which they perform. Mainly Hindu religion have so many ritual. It is said that there are 33 kotis(33 millions ) gods and goddess in Hindu religion.  Hindu is the only religion of having uncountable festivals, Sacrifices of animal is the major ritual of Hindu.  Whereas Buddhism is opposite of Hindu, it is known as the most peaceful religion so far. Buddha was known for his meditation, devotion because of that Buddhism is taken as peaceful religion. Christianity is formed after the death of  Jesus Christ. He was crucified in a cross wooden plank by nails. It is the religion that shows the sacrifice of a Jesus Christ devotion so people worship him with faith, devotions. Christmas is one of the biggest festival celebrated by Christian as well non christian every year on 25th of December. Every religion have their own way of celebrations. 
In the present  time the ideology of  religion has somehow change people are respecting each others rituals and custom which is a good thing. For peace religious tolerance plays a vital role. If one religion started to have a superior feelings then we have to face negative consequences.   

    Hence, every religions are good in themselves, faith, belief devotion towards their gods doesn't make any difference to other religion. May all religion works for humanity and welfare rather than disputes or destruction.
