      Ghode Jatra     Ghode Jatra is one of the annual festivals of Nepal which is basically celebrated in Kathmandu - Tudikhel. The word Ghoda refers to horse and Jatra means festival , so ghode Jatra is the festival of horses. Ghode Jatra is celebrated in the month of March - April. On the day of ghode Jatra Nepal Army performs various acts by riding horse, horse racing, horse parade, various performances can be seen in Kathmandu - Tudikhel ground. Public holiday is given in this day where most of the governmental office remains closed. "It is said that Gurumapa  - one of the demons used in live in Kathmandu and the kids started disappearing day by day which was believed to be because of Gurumapa so people tried various ways to scare Gurumapa but nothing could scare him and once people chased him upto Tudikhel ground where many horses ran towards Gurumapa which injured him and he finally got scared and ran away so Jhode Jatra was believed to be star...

Miss Nepal is the largest beauty pageant that is held annually in Kathmandu, Nepal. This pageant was started since 1994, and it has different impact when it comes to empower women for inspiring them to be independent and confident to tell their stories to motivate women.

 

The purpose of such pageant is about a girl power, kindness, humanity, unity along with the sense of responsibilities towards the nation as an individual. Pageant event set winners into different category such as Miss Nepal World, Miss Nepal Earth, Miss Nepal international and Miss Nepal Super national. Each winner can participate in Miss World and represents Nepal as well it gives an opportunity to promote nation, culture, customs, rituals and festivals and so on.

“The Hidden Treasure” (THT) organize the beauty pageant every year. For the year 2022, 24 finalists were announced on may29, at the hotel named Radisson which lies in Kathmandu – Lazimpat, Nepal.

 

The 24 finalists for Miss Nepal 2022 were announced on May 29, 2022, at the Radisson Hotel Kathmandu, Lazimpat, Kathmandu, Nepal. All contestant were given chance to choose their contestant number accordingly as per their wish.

Winners from different category will be able to participate in 3 International pageants which are Miss world, Miss Earth and Miss International. Through international pageant they represent Nepal in the world which directly and indirectly helps the nation to be recognize by the world. Representing our nation from international platform itself is the proud movement for everyone and introducing individual’s country in the world signifies the existence of the particular nation and make people to know about us. By expressing the beauty of the country one could attract attention and make people curious to seek information related to our nation.
