Ghode Jatra

      Ghode Jatra     Ghode Jatra is one of the annual festivals of Nepal which is basically celebrated in Kathmandu - Tudikhel. The word Ghoda refers to horse and Jatra means festival , so ghode Jatra is the festival of horses. Ghode Jatra is celebrated in the month of March - April. On the day of ghode Jatra Nepal Army performs various acts by riding horse, horse racing, horse parade, various performances can be seen in Kathmandu - Tudikhel ground. Public holiday is given in this day where most of the governmental office remains closed. "It is said that Gurumapa  - one of the demons used in live in Kathmandu and the kids started disappearing day by day which was believed to be because of Gurumapa so people tried various ways to scare Gurumapa but nothing could scare him and once people chased him upto Tudikhel ground where many horses ran towards Gurumapa which injured him and he finally got scared and ran away so Jhode Jatra was believed to be started since then".  During

Ramadan

One month fasting of Islam religion that is celebrated according to the ninth month of Islamic calendar which is followed by the people of Muslim community all over the world is Ramadan. Once a year Muslim follower observed Ramadan in which they won’t have anything after sun rises till sunset and they even do not drink water for the whole day unless they child, old, ill and so on. Fasting is their way of giving gratitude to Allah and even to mankind who might have to go through struggle without having food in their life. Ramadan is one of the important festivals among Muslim just like other festivals. Muslim believes that during Ramadan, their sacred book Quran was revealed to Prophet Mohammad which has given give important to Ramadan.   Ramadan 2023 has started from 23rd of March to 23 rd of April as it last for 30 days.   Global warming and climate change : The unusual change which is caused by greenhouse effect and more CO2 in the environment due to the human activities such as deforestation, urbanization, establishment of various industries which is more likely to create carbon dioxide and so on. Whereas climate change is like the outcome of global warming- which the change like seasonal differences, unexpected rain and drought, extreme hot or cold, glacier melting and many more. HOLI

H O L I   –  FESTIVAL  OF   COLOR   Introduction Holi is one of the festivals which is mostly celebrated by Hindu in Nepal and India as well as all over the world and Holi can also be called as the festivals of colors as the Holi is celebrated with colors and water too. Holi is an annual festival which is observed on February- March i.e by the end of winter and start of spring season. It is the festival that is specially followed by Hindus. During Holi people apply different colors on each other’s face and play with color and water. Similarly, on the day of Holi people throw balloons filled with water and color on people who walk on way as fun who are playing Holi or applying colors among friends.   In Nepal, Holi is named as Fagu Purnima and is celebrated on the full moon day and in 2023 Holi is on 6th March in other region and on 6th march in Terai.
