  Maghe Sankranti is one of the festival  among Hindu as well as some other ethnic groups like Tharu, Magar, Newar etc which is celebrated every year in mid- January(magh) . Maghe Sankranti festival can also be called makar sankranti as it is believed that since this day sun into Capricorn sign that is called makar in Nepali zodiac name.
